I have only fear about Hep-C treatment. I'm
extremely nervous about how it will affect my hair. It probably sounds
so silly...of all the things to be afraid of. You see, last year my
hair began to unexpectedly shed. But not just shed, it began to fall
out. Within two weeks, I had filled two sandwich baggies full of my
hair. Yes, I kept my hair in baggies. It seems a bit like what a serial
killer would do but I wanted to have proof of the extent to show my
dermatologist. After a month of tests and theories (which included a
possible thyroid condition, a hormonal malfunction and alopecia), we
finally figured out what was wrong. As it turned out, I was the one
that had caused it. Not intentionally of course. My hair was falling out
as a result of my eight year vegetarian diet. My iron levels had
dropped so low that my body wasn't able to regrow my hair. I've been on
325mg of Ferrous Sulfate for a year now and though it's taken a long
time, my levels have risen from 12 to 49.
Tangle Teezer in Belgium Pink
that I have my hair back, I'm quite nervous that it will happen again. I
feel that I'm going into treatment at a disadvantage. I was so
self-conscious last year. I don't want to have a situation where I feel
that way again. I'm not sure how much it will help but I am thinking
of buying a Tangle Teezer.
It looks a bit odd but supposedly it's the Holy Grail...the miracle tool that helps to prevent hair from being pulled out. I will try anything that might help.
If you have any Hep Hair Care Tips, I'd love to here from you.
